A POP OF COLOR is based in Brooklyn and inspired by the beach: the kitsch of Coney Island, the laid-back awesome of coastal California, & the tropical paradise of the Caribbean. We turn it all into things you can wear and love.
I started making jewelry - well, really when I was a kid with this little bead making machine my parents gave me one year - in earnest in 2012, soon after I moved to New York City. I was perusing Henri Bendel on 5th Avenue with my best friend, and while I was totally in love with the jewelry I couldn’t help thinking, “I can do this.”
So I began experimenting with jewelry projects large and small, simple and complex, accumulating way too many supplies along the way. I began selling at summer markets in 2015, and the brand has grown and evolved since then.
All of this is supported by my day job in tech, where I’ve built payments, operations, and risk systems for Venmo and PayPal. I travel and photograph a lot too. Learn more here.
